Team Spirituparrow.gif (933 bytes)

Teams are potentially the most powerful human resource a company can call to action. When a group of individuals is given the opportunity to effectively merge its ideas, energies and ambitions toward a common vision or goal, anything — from the most difficult to the improbable to the seemingly impossible — can be achieved.  The Team Spirit experience inspires, energizes, and enables team members to search below surface issues to discover the real meaning of “team spirit”.

Coaching for Excellenceuparrow.gif (933 bytes)

All too often, good analysts are promoted to supervisory positions and expected to know or learn how to be effective managers. The impact on business results, subordinate morale, and even the analyst’s own confidence can be devastating. Coaching for Excellence is designed to address the needs of people who have been managers for less than five years by providing a solid foundation in seven critical areas of managerial effectiveness.

The Power of Process Improvementuparrow.gif (933 bytes)

OCG provides comprehensive instructor led training courses for process management and process mapping.  Courses are designed with a balance of stand-up instruction and hands-on exercises enabling learners to practice and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of key concepts and techniques. Each course has specific measurable objectives  ensuring that students learn and comprehend all aspects of the subject being taught. Our course curriculum includes process flow and process deployment, affinity diagramming, relationship diagramming, pareto analysis, force field analysis, gantt charts, cause and effect charts, brainstorming and consensus building, Nominal Group Technique (NGT), and surveys/interviews.

Communicating to Build Collaborative Relationshipsuparrow.gif (933 bytes)

Interpersonal, one-on-one communication is a challenging area for many. Problems like “We don’t communicate very well,” “We just don’t speak the same language,” and “We’re not on the same wavelength” are often solvable once core communication styles and strategies are well understood. Communicating to Build Collaborative Relationships helps you identify your basic communication style and provides you with practical tips for identifying and adapting to the style of others. The course also teaches skills for effectively influencing, probing, persuading and challenging others. OCG uses The Personal Listening Profile® to identify individual approaches and helps people develop adaptive listening strategies for more productive communication.

Understanding Team Essentialsuparrow.gif (933 bytes)

Many teams fail simply because they lack one of the seven team essentials. This course provides the fundamentals for team success, including:

  • Types of teams and the difference between a team and group
  • Qualities of effective teams
  • Common barriers to team success and prevention strategies
  • Successful communication strategies
  • Team values and norms

Feedback for M.I.E. – Managing Individual Effectivenessuparrow.gif (933 bytes)

As valuable and as desirable as it is, constructive feedback is not a regular occurrence in most workplaces. The two most common reasons are:

  • Most people are not sure how to give feedback effectively.
  • Most people usually find it uncomfortable to confront each other about performance issues.

We rarely practice being feedback givers. Few of us have ever had any formal training concerning how to give feedback. What we often do is apply what was done to us. Therefore, for the most part, feedback isn’t given or is given inaccurately or superficially or focuses on the strong issues or, as often occurs, feedback is given too late. Training in how to receive feedback is as important as how to give it. OCG provides performance based training in giving and receiving constructive feedback.
